Mentors' Hall of Fame
In the spirit of gracious professionalism we are proud to honor the service of our past mentors by recognizing them in our Mentors' Hall of Fame.
Den Black
Den Black, a chief engineer at Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems, was assigned the task of forming the team. Upon his retirement from Delphi, Den and his wife Sue moved to Virginia where they assist a FIRST team and judge at regional competitions.
Jim Christen
Jim Christen was on the team from 1998-2007. He worked with the controls of the robot. Jim was nominated by our team for the Woodie Flowers Award and was also presented with the Univera/ United Way Community Hero Award for his dedication to our team. His expertise in electronics helped us to win Delphi's "Driving Technology" Award.
Tom Fare
Tom Fare was on the team from 1999-2006. Mr. Fare assisted students with CAD and facilitated the robot shipping process. He also served as a volunteer at the Finger Lakes and Pittsburgh Regionals.
Mike Fiegl
Mike was our coach from 2003-2006. He left our team in 2007 when he moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to work for GM.
Lindsey Williams
Lindsey Williams, a Delphi Corporate Spokesman, was an active member of the Circuit Stompers when Delphi Corporate was located in Lockport. After relocating to Michigan Lindsey continues to be a strong supporter of both FIRST and the Circuit Stompers.
Tom Urbank
Tom, a Delphi engineer, designed our first two speed transmissions. Tom's design won an award from other FIRST teams.
